Hooymeijer is of origin a transport company, founded in 1935. The three sons of the founder Gerard Hooymeijer expanded the company into an international player. The company was specialized in the logistic process for transport and handling of steel pipes for transport of water, oil and gas. During the seventies, the next generation added itself more and more on container transport, custom’s and labour activities. We realize that this is a reasonable sum of services, but we dare to call ourselves specialists on every service we offer. Well, we must be specialists with so much experience. To keep our specialties conveniently arranged and to put them in a stronger position on the market, we decided to split our 3 main activities into separate companies. Custom’s agency, storage, dispatcher, forwarding agent and Value Added Logistics Thanks to our successful history, the Hooymeijer Group has a strong and solid financial basis. Our offices and our warehouses (more than 8.500m2) on industrial area the Vergulde Hand in Vlaardingen, are property of the Group. Our red-white-blue trucks can be recognized from far. Hooymeijer is a professional, service customer aimed family company that believes in direct personal contact and service for its customers. We keep on taking steps to improve and innovate our services. That’s important in our vision, because stagnation means going backwards, specially in transport.
